We recognized long ago that issuing a fine or an Order to Remedy is not a guarantee of bylaw compliance. To be effective, a systematic approach that begins with a clear understanding of the legislative scope and authority municipalities have to draft and enforce bylaws. The second step is to understand both the legal processes and best practices utilized in enforcing bylaws professionally. The third step is to analyze what in the process of drafting, communicating, and enforcing the bylaw is working well and what isn’t. This analysis is crucial in making adjustments to your bylaws, communications, or enforcement. This is the thinking behind the bt Training System©

Training Syllabus

  • FLEXIBILITY

    The bt Training Series is comprised of three modules that are presented each month from October to April utilizing the Zoom Meeting app. Pick the dates that work best for you.

  • FIELD-TESTED EXPERTISE

    Developed and field-tested over many years, our training curriculum is backed by real-world experience and expertise in municipal bylaw enforcement.

  • EXPERIENCED INSTRUCTORS

    Our modules are presented by experienced Bylaw Enforcement Officers who bring practical insights and knowledge to the training sessions.

  • CERTIFICATION

    Upon completion of the 3 module series, students achieving an average mark of 85%, or greater will be awarded a certificate acknowledging their successful completion of the requisite material.

  • POST-COURSE SUPPORT

    We provide post-course consulting and support to ensure that participants can apply what they’ve learned effectively in their day-to-day roles
